The Chief Financial Officer will be a trusted advisor to the CEO and other senior leaders. This role will lead the organization as a change agent and an active motivator relatedto all financial aspects of the business.

We provide life/health and property/casualty product lines to strategically meet the needs of clients’ employees and overall business, along with providing HR consulting services, compliance and benefit administration to our clients. Bukaty Companies, LLC was founded in 1992 by Mike Bukaty beginning as a two-person office, the business has grown to nearly 200 employees with four office locations. In 2021, Mike Bukaty sold a majority share of his business to BroadStreet Partners, one of the top 15 insurance brokerages in the country, but he still operates as Chairman and CEO. This year we will exceed $50M in annual revenue and have had an average revenue growth over the last 3 years of 11.3% by growing organically and through acquisitions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Trusted advisor to the CEO and other senior leaders in leading the organization as a change agent, and an active motivator related to all financial aspects of the business (reports directly to Chairman and CEO).
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for all entities – both internal and external including senior management, shareholders, BroadStreet, regulators and auditors.
- Maintain executive responsibility for financial operations including working capital, capital expenditures, debt levels, taxes, and general accounting according to GAAP.
- Set-up, oversee and maintain all financial and operational internal controls and metrics within the organization.
- Establish and maintain stable cash flow management policies and procedures and ensure cash resources are available for daily operations and quarterly dividends to shareholders.
- Optimize banking/Treasury relationships and initiate needed strategies for improvement.
- Ensure and oversee all timely and accurate reporting and analysis for all commissions paid to producers.
- Ensure and oversee all timely and accurate payroll reporting, filings and analysis for all entities and employees.
- Oversees expense chargeback process across the various producers and entities.
- Provides strategic financial leadership and support on the evaluation of M&A opportunities affecting the business.
- Responsible for development and hiring of professional finance staff including assigning and directing work, appraising performance, and coaching/mentoring for performance and resolving problems (current staff is six employees and one 1099 contractor).
- Stay abreast of financial trends and regulators to ensure effectiveness and compliance for the finance functions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by ownership.

REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA or MBA preferred
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in accounting with at least 5-7 years’ experience supervising a high performing finance team
Familiarity with the insurance services industry and M&A activities desired
